The purpose of this mini-course is to present a comprehensive description of video systems at the graduate level. The course will start with characteristics of basic analog video systems including bandwidth constraints, color encoding, and composite signal formation. Digital video concepts will then be presented. Applications will include video servers, transmission systems, high definition television and multimedia systems. This course will emphasize the analysis and design of analog and digital video signals and systems.
